Who We Are
Founded in 2011, Adventure Scientists is a Bozeman-based nonprofit that plays an essential role in advancing solutions to environmental challenges. We equip scientific leaders at the cutting edge of conservation and climate science with project planning and data collection services in order to increase their success. By mobilizing and training volunteers to collect high-quality scientific data at an otherwise unachievable scale, Adventure Scientists serves as a cost-effective and powerful accelerator to conservation around the world.
What We Do
Adventure Scientists partners with leaders working at the forefront of environmental research and conservation to design, build, and manage field data collection projects. We recruit and train a network of volunteers, including outdoor enthusiasts and local community members, to collect high quality data at scale. Our model enables scientists to ask broader questions, engages a larger constituency in conservation, and creates compelling storytelling opportunities, thereby accelerating solutions to urgent conservation challenges.
