Who We Are

We are your neighbors and friends, and Big Sky’s bartenders, custodians, non-profit leaders, administrators, ski patrollers, teachers, event and HR directors, small business owners, teachers, grocery and hospitality workers, housekeepers, chaplains, chefs, and beyond. The navigators represent a cross-section of the community and have deep insight into the needs, strengths, culture, barriers, and challenges of specific groups within the community.

What We Do

The Navigator Network Program is a grassroots initiative that centers the voices of those who live and/or work in Big Sky. Navigators are the heart of Be Well Big Sky, providing critical feedback on needs, barriers to care, and design solutions for the Big Sky community.

Selection Criteria:

  • Must live and/or work in Big Sky year-round
  • Invested in the well-being of the community
  • Have trust and rapport with specific populations in Big Sky
  • Have a diverse background, life experience and/or role in the community to ensure broad representation of the Navigator Network

Candidates accepted into the program may begin the onboarding process which takes approximately 6 months to complete and includes trainings in a wide range of mental health and wellness curriculum and skills including: Suicide Alertness and Emotional First Aid. Navigators put this training to work as they connect individuals within their organizations, social circles and throughout the community to resources and information.
